The True Post (Web News)Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Orakzai district, eliminating 19 India-backed terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
According to the ISPR, the terrorists opened intense fire on security forces during the operation, resulting in the martyrdom of nine soldiers, including Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif and Major Tayyab Rahat.
The ISPR further stated that large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and communication equipment were recovered from the terrorists’ hideouts.
In its statement, the military’s spokesperson reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in their mission to eradicate terrorism, adding that the sacrifices of the martyrs are a lasting guarantee of peace and stability in the country.
