India’s illegal Occupation is Taking Away the Rights of Kashmiris: President Asif Ali Zardari

Islamabad: President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari has said that India’s illegal occupation is still taking away the rights of Kashmiris. In a message issued on the occasion of Jammu Martyrs’ Day, the President said that the tragedy of November 6, 1947 was the worst massacre in the history of the subcontinent. The Dogra army, RSS and armed groups martyred more than 200,000 Muslims in Jammu, while more than half a million Muslims were forced to migrate after the Jammu massacre.

He said that the international community did not give the genocide of Kashmiri Muslims the attention it deserved, the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people are a reminder of the unfinished story of Jammu and Kashmir, while India’s illegal occupation is still taking away the rights of the Kashmiris.

The President said that the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A is part of a dangerous plan for demographic change, Indian measures are a violation of the Geneva Convention, the international community should not turn a blind eye to Indian atrocities on Kashmiris.

President Zardari said that Pakistan pays tribute to the martyrs of Jammu, Pakistan will continue to provide moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people and we stand with them in their struggle for justice, dignity and freedom.
