The ceremony was held in the state of Pahang, where Queen Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah conferred the degree.
The Queen praised PM Shehbaz’s visionary, disciplined, and compassionate leadership, noting his efforts from leading Punjab to serving as Prime Minister. She highlighted his initiatives like the Punjab Education Endowment Fund, which opened opportunities for thousands of students.
In his address, PM Shehbaz said receiving the honorary doctorate from such a prestigious institution was a great honor. He emphasized his lifelong commitment to public service and expressed hope for stronger academic collaboration between Pakistan and the university.
