The True Post(Web News) Former US President Donald Trump has claimed that he told Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in no uncertain terms that there should be no war with Pakistan.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion of Diwali celebrations in the Oval Office, Trump said that he had a telephone conversation with the Indian Prime Minister, in which many important issues, including trade, were discussed. According to Trump, he gave a clear message to Modi that the solution to the conflict between India and Pakistan is not war but trade. He said, “I told Modi that if you go to war, the United States will not trade with you, and within 24 hours both countries contacted each other and said that they did not want war.” The former US president added that he had prevented eight wars during his tenure through trade, including a potential war between Pakistan and India. It should be noted that Trump has previously taken credit for reducing tensions between Pakistan and India several times.
