Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a significant defense agreement with France. According to foreign media reports, under this deal, Ukraine will purchase 100 Rafale fighter jets, drones, radars, air defense systems, smart guided bombs, and other military equipment from France over the next 10 years.
During a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, President Zelensky described the agreement as historic, stating that it will further strengthen Ukraine’s long-term security.
President Macron called the agreement the beginning of a new phase in the strategic relationship between the two countries. He noted that the deal includes drones, interceptors, guided missiles, and advanced air defense systems, with the first shipment expected to begin within the next three years.
