The True Post (Web News)Israeli forces have released former Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Mushtaq Ahmad, who was part of the Freedom Flotilla mission carrying humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed on social media platform X that Mushtaq Ahmad is now safe at the Pakistani Embassy in Amman.
Dar stated that the embassy is fully assisting him with arrangements for his return home and thanked friendly nations for their diplomatic support.
According to international media, Israel deported 131 flotilla members, including Mushtaq Ahmad, who were later transferred to Jordan. Jordan’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that all deportees entered the country through the King Hussein Bridge to ensure their safe repatriation.
The deported individuals included citizens from Pakistan, Türkiye, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Oman, Kuwait, Libya, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Czech Republic, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Serbia, South Africa, Switzerland, the UK, the US, and Uruguay.
