Sukkur: The accountability court transferred the NAB reference against PPP leader Khursheed Shah to the FIA court. Accountability court of Sukkur heard the reference against Khursheed Shah and Sindh Assembly Speaker Owais Shah, in which Khursheed Shah’s son MPA Farrukh Shah appeared in the court along with lawyer Mahfouz Awan.
After the hearing, Judge Ghulam Yasin Kolachi delivered a reserved verdict and transferred the case of assets beyond means to the FIA court.
Earlier, in the previous hearing, NAB had submitted a final challan of more than Rs 190 million after 6 years and NAB had applied to transfer the case to the FIA as the value of the assets was less than Rs 1.23 billion, while Khursheed Shah’s lawyer requested to transfer the case to the anti-corruption agency.
It should be noted that 18 people, including Khursheed Shah, his sons Farrukh Shah and Zeerak Shah, nephew of Sindh Assembly Speaker Owais Shah, are named in the NAB reference.
