Ashes Series Declared Important, Australian Cricketers Started Skipping T20 Series Against India

Many Australian cricketers have preferred red-ball cricket over white-ball cricket to prepare for the Test series, Josh Hazlewood and Shane Abbott have also left the T20 squad for domestic cricket.

Islamabad: In view of the Ashes series against England, Australian cricketers started skipping the T20 series against India. All the potential players from the first Test of the Ashes series will play the next round of the Sheffield Shield. According to Cricket Australia, Travis Head has been released from the Australian T20 squad for the Sheffield Shield match, he will not play the last 2 T20 matches against India.

Australia’s leading cricketers will play the fourth round of the Sheffield Shield, while Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith and Josh Hazlewood will be seen in action. Many Australian cricketers have preferred red-ball cricket over white-ball cricket to prepare for the Test series, Josh Hazlewood and Shane Abbott have also left the T20 squad for domestic cricket.

Tanvir Sangha has also been released from the T20 squad, he will play the ODI Cup, Ben Darshav has been included in the T20 squad for the remaining matches of the series against India. The fourth and fifth T20 matches between Australia and India will be played on November 6 and 8, the 5-match T20 series is tied at one-all.
