Lahore Tops List of World’s Most Polluted Cities

The True Post (Web News)Lahore’s air remains heavily polluted and hazardous to health, ranking first among the world’s most polluted cities. Due to the severe rise in air pollution across Punjab, hospitals are seeing a surge in patients suffering from respiratory and stomach-related illnesses, while children are increasingly affected by coughs, colds, and flu.

Lahore’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 253, with the Barki Road area reaching 485 early in the morning. Other cities in Punjab also reported dangerously high pollution levels. New Delhi ranked second, Baghdad third, Karachi fourth with an AQI of 181, and Kolkata fifth on the global pollution list.
