No Turkish Soldier Will Set Foot on Gaza Soil: Israel’s Categorical Message to Turkey

Shosh Bedrosian, a Spokeswoman for the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, has once again made it clear that there is no possibility of involving Turkish troops in the event of an international force being deployed in Gaza.

According to an Israeli newspaper, Tel Aviv has also informed the United States of this stance that Israel will not accept the presence of Turkish troops in Gaza under any circumstances.

The Spokeswomen said in categorical terms while talking to reporters that “no Turkish soldier will set foot on Gaza soil.”

It should be noted that Israel had previously expressed reservations about the proposal for an international peacekeeping force in Gaza under the US plan.

Last month, while holding a press conference in Hungary, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said that countries that intend to send their troops to Gaza should at least adopt a fair attitude towards Israel.

He added that Turkey, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has adopted an aggressive stance against Israel, so Israel will not allow the Turkish army to enter the Gaza Strip under any circumstances.
