Israel: Differences between the US and Israel over the ceasefire and administrative decisions in Gaza have intensified. According to the Times of Israel, an Israeli official said that the US has given Israel a secondary status in the Civil Military Coordination Center established for Gaza and is making all important decisions itself.
According to reports, this center has been established under US President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan, through which the International Stabilization Force (ISF) will take control of Gaza with the approval of the United Nations and Israeli forces will withdraw from there.
According to the US, it will include about 20,000 soldiers who will be given a two-year mandate, however, Washington will not send its own troops and talks are underway with countries such as Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and Azerbaijan to participate.
Israel has objected to the possible involvement of Turkish forces, while Arab countries are wary of a direct confrontation with Hamas. Meanwhile, the United States has fully incorporated its peace plan into a UN resolution, under which future management of Gaza would be transferred from the Peace Board to the Palestinian Authority, provided it completes a reform program.
This development indicates that Israel’s influence over Gaza’s future is limited and American control is increasing.v
