FC Headquarters Attack: Much Progress has been made in the Investigation, All 03 Terrorists Appear to be Afghan Nationals: IG KP

Peshawar: IG KP Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed has said that much progress has been made in the investigation into the FC Headquarters attack and from the investigation so far, it seems that the three terrorists are Afghan nationals. Talking to the media in Peshawar, IG KP said that three terrorists had come to attack the FC Headquarters yesterday, whose photographs have been found, while the fingerprints of the attackers have been sent to NADRA.

IG Zulfiqar Hameed said that much progress has been made in the investigation, from the investigation so far, it seems that the three terrorists are Afghan nationals, the extremists have been tracked far back, they are finding out through which route the terrorists entered Peshawar.

He further said that the place where the terrorists spent the night has been identified, the motorcycle used by the terrorists has been seized and fingerprints have also been obtained from there, but no facilitator has been detained yet. The IG KP said that CCTV footage of the arrival of the terrorists has been obtained and NADRA has started work to identify the terrorists.

Zulfiqar Hameed said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is being provided with weapons and other necessities, modern technology including anti-drones is being provided to the police, and work is being done to provide bulletproof vehicles from the police station to the officer level.

According to the IG, the terrorists’ strategy has changed and attacks have increased this year, but they have been repelled.
